The optimal strength ratio testing finds any weaknesses in the lower and upper extremities of the body. This essential testing will determine the best starting point for any training process.
Strength Ratio:
There is a certain percentage of weight every individual should be able to lift:
1. Incline Press
2. Seated Scott Curl
3. Trap 3 Test
4. Front Squat
5. Seated Barbell Military Press
Failure to score well in these categories means potential injury to the athlete. Example: If your incline press is 200 pounds for an absolute score, then you should be able to Scott curl 46% of that 200 pounds.
Each test is based on your 1RM (repetition maximum) for the incline bench press. These tests typically take two days to perform, depending on the individual athlete and his/her training age (experience).
